I lean neither to the left, nor the right. I've experienced the extremes of both sides & can appreciate the ideologies of both, as long as neither has an extremist view & pushes that singular view as being "right" to the exclusion of all else. That's where things get scary-dangerous.

To quote Lord Acton: "Power tends to corrupt. Absolute power tends to corrupt absolutely".

I agree that MAGA is an extremist, white-supremasist movement driven by rhetoric & preying on the emotional xenophobia of the uneducated American voting public. This has been driven by a litany of lies from the Trump camp, much the same as Hitler did in the 1930's (BTW, I reckon Hitler was one of the best orators of all time).

The election slogan "Let's make America great again" was actually used by Ronald Reagan in his 1980 election campaign. Trump filed an application to "trademark" that as his own during his 2016 campaign. See how he was seeking to take credit for someone else's success as his own idea?

ALL Politicians are, to an extent, narcissistic. That's a given. However, I have a REAL & existential problem with Trump.

EVERYTHING is about HIM! A rock-star! A "reality-TV" CELEBRITY. Completely immune to COVID (maybe he injected bleach?). Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! Able to stop the Russia/Ukraine war in 24 hours (how's that going right now, BTW?)! Able to stop the conflict in the Middle East (erm.. that actually happened before he became POTUS, but, of course, he claimed that as his own victory when he actually did nothing).

Take a look at his Inauguration dinner footage. When he was dancing with his "Trophy-Wife" Malenia (who is ONLY there for appearances), he wouldn't let the cameras see her face. He kept turning them so that HE was primarily on-camera.

He's surrounded himself with an entourage of "Yes-men & Women", who will be sacked the moment they disagree with him (because, of course, he knows about everything better than anyone else - he's told us so on many occasions).

When the world was in the grip of a Pandemic, he played Golf - a real WORLD LEADER!

I could go on....& on.....& on.....however, this is neither about left or right ideologies.

Fundamentally, I do not believe that Trump is mentally, emotionally, ethically or capably fit to hold the office of POTUS.

I'm just about to go out for dinner with the Mrs & my old man, so I'm off now.
