I’m doing the same but wasn’t sure what shrooms to get so I asked ai what shrooms yield the most this is what I got not sure how accurate, it is, but knowing AI it is probably spot on but let me know if it wrong 😑

Among the varieties you’ve listed, certain strains of Psilocybe cubensis are generally known for higher yield potential, while others may be more challenging or have unique growth characteristics. Here’s a general yield comparison based on common grower experiences:

1. Golden Teacher – Known for its ease of cultivation and steady yields, it’s one of the most beginner-friendly with consistent outputs.

2. Z Strain – Often cited as a high-yielding strain, producing abundant flushes under optimal conditions.

3. Bluemeanie – Known for potency but not necessarily for yield, though it can still perform well.

4. Tasmanian – Known to produce larger fruits but not as high yielding as other strains.

5. Ecuador – This strain is also known for higher yields and reliable performance.

6. Purple Mystic – Yields can be decent but are more variable depending on conditions.

7. B+ – One of the highest-yielding strains, known for its robustness and ease of cultivation.

8. Aa Plus – Not much data available on this specific strain’s yield, but albino variants tend to produce moderate to high yields with proper care.

9. Lizard King – Known for medium to high yields, with a relatively fast colonization rate.

10. Moby Dick – Can yield well but requires more specific conditions for optimal results.

For your second group:

1. Jack Frost – Tends to yield moderately but produces strikingly beautiful albino mushrooms.

2. Ape (Albino Penis Envy) – Known for its potency but not for its yield, often yielding less than other strains.

3. Penis Envy – Potent but one of the lowest-yielding strains.

4. TAT Wombat – Similar to other albinos, usually yields moderately.

5. TAT Ghost – Another albino strain, moderate to lower yields, but worth it for the potency and appearance.

6. SV-10 – Not much data available specifically on yield.

7. UMBO (P. natalensis × Jack Frost) – A hybrid with potential for decent yield, but new enough that data is limited.

8. Albino Stargazer – Typically moderate yield.

9. Albino Makilla Gorilla – Similar to other albino strains, can yield well but more difficult to cultivate.

10. Cream Coffee (Shakti × Tidalwave) – As a hybrid, it may offer good yields, but it’s likely more niche with limited grow reports available.

Top Yielders:

• B+ and Z Strain are often mentioned as the highest yielders from your first group.

• In the second group, Jack Frost may yield reasonably, but it’s not known for extreme high yields like B+ or Z Strain.

The highest yielders are likely B+, Z Strain, and Golden Teacher under the right conditions.
Great info

I've no fucking idea what I'm doing at all mate. Was going to see if there is a way to do the blue meanies outdoor. If any of you experts know a way to transfer these into cow shit outdoor. Let me know
I love the mention of cow shit! Though I've seen it in northern nsw, In my cold southern world mushrooms grow best in wet sclerophyll forests, no cow shit shrooms down here 😂

There's probably a way you could. Id boil up some straw which you could innoculate with some liquid culture. Then when you get a good clump of mycelium going mix it into your bag of cow shit. Seen pics of them growing out of store bought manure bags so it's definitely possible..

Wouldn't expect much from the blue meanies in terms of yield for your first attempt but the others should turn out nice.
Pan Cyans (blue meanies) need alot more FAE (fresh air exchange) than the cubensis strains which only need a bit of fanning. Nice selection Pat hope it all goes well.

You might want to make a shotgun fruiting chamber for the blue meanies 👍🏻
Next batch (when I eventually get time) will be pan cyans.

So go out to paddocks and collect dry cow pats. Like cracker dry. Break them up then mix up a straw/cow dung combo. Sterilise and then follow the same process as cubes. I plan on making a Matha tent and get a fan in there to create decent FAE

OK ordered the beginners pack with Jack frost, blue meanies and golden teacher let's see how this goes haha
I've found the TAZ to be the easiest strain he has. It's very aggressive with colonising and seems to be the most forgiving.

nice one, based on my limited experience id guess you can wait a good while yet FreoJJ, I’ve let about half the bag go white-ish before a break and shake

keeping temps consistent (around 24c) and low to no light worked well for me at that stage

Give it a day or so then mix it, it will colinate faster then because you will have put mycelium all through it so means more inoculation points
Yep cheers just gave both bags a good mix and spread of contents , been about 2 weeks now since I injected bag with spores
