yeah nice - but what providence of the seeds? how do they compare to what mrnice and agseedco offer claiming to be NL?
I'd like to know also 🤗, obviously mine is ortega from Mr Nice and from what I recall it's not a pure northern lights strain (atleast from what I gathered) but close enough, think Nevil added some afgT to the NL.

Copy pasted comment from MrNice member Cptn:

Nordle is "Afghan T" (AfgT) x Skunk #1

AfgT is one of several phenos Nevil got from Jim Ortega (dogless here on the board.) His indica line was described by Nev as kind of an "all in one" like the northern lights line he worked. He had a hashplant type, a big bud type, a kush type, and the AfgT was described as being skunky, as skunky as Sam's skunk #1, but it was pure indica.
AfgT had a sister, AfgS which is said to be sweeter.
AfgT is used as a female in Nordle and Afghan Haze (same plant.)
As part of Nordle and Afghan Haze, it finds itself used in several of the Limited Editions
Nordle:
Nevil's Skunk (Nordle male)
Angle Heart (Nordle male)

Afg Haze:
Angel's Breath (Afg Haze Male)
Critical Haze (Afg Haze Male)
Early Haze (Afg Haze Male)
Master Kaze (Afg Haze Male)

You can see it is used on both sides of a single cross in Shanti's ASH.

As you can see, the Afghan T Female finds itself into the middle of a large part of the MNS catalog.

Northern Lights is a completely different collection of "types."

That's as far as my research went. It's believed Ben Dronkers (of Sensi seeds formerly known as 'The Seedbank' which Nevil owned) lost a lot of his mother plants/parental stock, so who knows what's genuine or not.
It's kind of like Mullumbimby Madness in the way it's like some old legend, and everyone has their own opinion of what NL is/should be... and as Shantibaba has said before, plants are never the same after a few generations of breeding anyway, what was initially a good strain can/will change through interbreeding; for better or worse.

In my opinion Ortega ticks the boxes, most reports of the old northern lights (1980's) mentions it's 'juniper berry smell' it had which is pretty spot with Ortega.
Newer NL's have earthier smells.

What about shopping for autos? I know nothing about them - got a few freebies last time and grew them out. Mephisto were talked up last I looked but not certain on if they are in Europe.

Last time I grabbed most stuff from the Amsterdam Seed Center, and others direct from Sensi - who were more generous in freebies as well. I'd rather go direct but not all do - Barney's only had a few things through their coffeeshop.

Yep they're good autos, not entirely sure about availability in europe but I've seen quite a few Germans growing their strains so they might have a distributor over there somewhere. They are pretty lousy these days with their breeding, it's more like chucking now so I'd avoid their 'illuminauto' (f1's) strains and buy their worked stable lines if you wanna burn through some cash.

Night Owl is another good auto breeder. American based so unsure of EU availability..

Dutch Passion, Sweet Seeds, Fastbuds are okay but Spanish chucker seeds 👍🏻

Auto-wise, Mephisto are right up there but do not ship 2 Australia 🇦🇺
MNSL, most of their autos tend to be fairly consistent (allegedly)
Everything Goonie has mentioned are all spot on, but had a few failures with Fastduds though
Main prob is getting the farks into Aus

Looking good 👍🏻..
should probably say that it will probably take a few packs to find a cheese pheno that actually smells like cheese 🧀.

I'm not sure if I'll spruik for multi packs - so yeah, maybe give this one a miss. I dunno if it was really going to be my thing - not really a cheese person. This'll save me and I can nix it from the list. This is a more primo list than what I got last time - though probably similar total value. Still a bit of time to think it over and see. Also might depend on exchange rates etc

As with everyone else, in Europe I'd definitely go for big names and big strains. I had an amazing cut running for several years of sensi's hashplant., 7 week finish with an intense hash flavour, would love to get my hands on another, it's always been one of their more expensive strains though.
