her shop was near where i lived in newtown.
i remember her since the 90s when she had a vegan cafe, and a tv show on community tv.
then she opened the “butcher” shop.
she sold meat substitutes made from plants.
don’t know why anyone would get butt hurt by that.

Agree. If you don't like it, don't shop there. Both my kids are vegans - out of concern for the environment, animals and personal health choices. My son is also part of a food dumpster diving co-operative.

I just read with horror that Peter Dutton thinks disgraced former Home Affairs Secretary Mike Pezzullo “should have a role to play in the future of this country” if the Coalition wins the election.

This must rank as one of the most unhinged and tone deaf takes of this election campaign. Pezzullo was sacked after it was found he’d breached the APS code of conduct on at least 14 occasions as a result of his texting with Liberal powerbroker Scott Briggs being exposed.

Pezzullo is a total political operative favouring the right wing of the Liberal Party and indeed was specifically found to have failed to act “apolitically” as part of the findings against him by the Public Service Commission. He was stripped of his Order of Australia award last year by the Governor General, a decision criticised by Dutton.

What’s next ? Will Dutton soon announce he’s bringing back Kathryn Campbell of Robodebt fame ? Maybe there is still hope for Godwin Grech ?
