It would be nice if in the HOR it was a minimum of two to mark, so your vote would exhaust before the final two major parties. Then they’d take their job seriously. As it is currently you have to choose one or the other.

There are heaps of people out there that have never enrolled and never voted, secret is if you don't enroll they can't fine you. Despite the law saying voting is compulsory, only after you've enrolled apparently lol
Allegedly there's been thought from some federal governments of going after the roughly 10% that isn't enrolled. Also back 10 years ago there was a huge number of young people not enrolled but they either didn't go after them because it was illegal or they thought it would disincentivize them to even participate, dno.

This is true. Also applies to tax. A friend of mine's dad was a carpenter who never voted nor payed tax.

1. Legal ownership of an "assault weapon" (I won't go into the intricacies of this) was removed from the Australian public following the Port Arthur massacre. Martin Bryant ruined it for others.

2. They're inaccurate & only intended for spraying bullets around indiscriminately at short range on a battlefield to suppress the enemy. The two idiots that tried to shoot Trump had pathetically poor rifles.

If you want to resolve your petty differences with a neighbour via the use of automatic firepower, then the good ol' US of A is where you want to be.

If you want to save the world with a single shot, then you need a good quality firearm & good quality ammunition & do it from a long distance. Only a Professional would know how.

Originally you could only enrol if you were an Australian citizen and had a permanent place of residence, whenever a letter asking me to sign up chased me down, I'd circle that point and write homeless and send it back. They changed the rule about 20 years ago so the homeless were allowed to vote.

I'm 33 lol I know I can be a bit of a fucl head so sorry about that I got enrolled automaticly think n I remeber going with mum liek way back in my 20s but I will never remeber how to vote fuck em
