I have to move my set up out into the shed because the wall will be comming down where it is to become a second lounge room. So will be building one from insulated coolroom panels. 3m ×1.2 × 2 high. It will need to be a sealed setup running c02 in summer to combat the Brisbane weather. So 7.2 m3 will be the area i need cooled
Hmm, are you still going to be using the shed to work on things?

Your shed should be on its own circuit probably on a 20 amp breaker, you could daisy chain off one of the power points and run your 2.5mm 3 core earth/live/neutral through conduit to the spot you want to put your aircon condenser, hook that upto one of these

Hook your split AC up to a plug and plug into isolator.

Anything under 5.5kw is legal to hook upto a plug, you will only need like 3kw

Yeah i need aircon just don't want to draw to much juice
That's why I got the small one but, it was completely useless! I'd get a proper box A/C or high efficiency split system. My mate runs one of the good portable one that you vent out the window, some of them have ok energy rating.

Aren't you always going to have a problem with thermodynamics with these sorts of things if they dump the heat of the cooling unit back into the same space it is cooling - regardless of cooling efficiency of the cooler alone.

The comparison says it's a personal cooler - like small space heaters - I'm guessing to justify it's use despite low efficiency

Looked @ the coolzy not long ago.
Something about it was a deal breaker for me.
But I'm such a old stoner I can't remember why!🤪🥴
Arr was for our bedroom ended up with a Dimplex ,bit noisy but I'm a deaf bastard anyway.
Nice and cool ,guessing it would be descent for a small grow room.

The other thing I wonder about is A/C cooled environment and the effects on the plant's.
That's why a grow room/tent setup inside a lung room is my preference. That way any air that enters a grow is already around the optimal temperature.

I'm using a 550w window unit at the moment, probably comes in around $2-3 onthe really hot days. Next build is going to have a 1.8w split system dc inverter. Should come in around a $1-2 a day.

Dump it strait out the shed wall cut a hole, dump the rear vent out there. Just make it close. Mount A/C in grow room.

The problem with that is it from what I'm reading , the air it dumps out comes from the grow room. I want to run a sealed room with C02. Mainly just for the humid summer months. Being in Brisbane it's hard to maintain humidity below 80% in the summer months let alone get it down to 50 last couple weeks of flower. That's why I'm looking at window or split i think.

I've also toyed with the ideah of a couple car aircons with a fridge pump hooked up to them. I've got a couple of those under dash style ones hanging around

I see what you mean with the A/C and the 02, I recon split would be nice at least you can seal it all up.

You have to run a split.

I liken it to car racing. If you want faster times (better results) in some areas you HAVE to spend money. A decent environmental control is one of them.
