Just got home from my local polling booth. Legalise cannabis party got my vote this year. Neither major parties can effectively manage: health, housing, economy/finances, environment, social or foreign policies. I get that some of these issues are very important to people (more than Cannabis legalisation). However, the major parties have shown they cannot manage ANY of these issues, so why vote for bullshit policies that they actually don't and can't deliver on.

True, it's not so prominent now. But for a while there the Indian's, Paki's, etc.. were taking the NZ route. But yeah, i'd tend to believe most would fly in direct these days.

Citizenship-wise, it was a known route. Where NZ, Figi, etc were known places to do time to gain citizenship. Then once that's sorted they would come on in, and eventually apply for Australian Citizenship.

But nowadays. Yeah, fly on in on whatever visa most appropreiate for the individual, and then overstay. Deal with it when/if it catches up with them.

It’s as good as done. They have run the numbers and LNP are dead in the water. they are at 51 seats, ALP at 72, greens and others at 10, with 18 seats to be finalized. There is no path for LNP.
it will be ALP in their own right if they get to 76 seats. Or they will be minority with greens.
based on the numbers so far, and what’s remaining. ALP have won, and easily have a path to running in their own right.
