I have never voted in any elections before. I wasn't even enrolled until it was done on my behalf by a local politician. Since then I just pay the fine for not voting.
I was thinking of actually doing it this time. Is there any way of voting that has any chance of getting closer to legalised canna?
Can't be bothered looking into it, thought one of you guys would know.
cheers
I just turn up and register don't vote and no fine.last time I voted was for Joh.

Gotta be real careful with propaganda though, it has a way of taking what you see and spinning it out of control. Remember all those black gangs taking control of Melbourne.... you saw it with your own eyes on the TV's... or so they'd have you believe. The police commissioner then gets up and says the crime stats show crime is going down and it's quite safe on the streets of Melb.
A few weeks later no more articles on black gangs and we've all forgotten they were even a thing.

The media's job is to push the articles that scare your mum and make your dad angry. They're the articles that sell the most papers.

These guys sound like a fun “party”. 😂

Australian Christians

The party wants to elect “a Christian voice amidst the voices in Parliament”. It wants to see marriage as only between a man and woman, “zero tolerance” to drugs, and suggests an inquiry into increasing the legal drinking age to 21. It also says the settled scientific view that carbon dioxide is contributing to climate change needs “further scrutiny”, opposes euthanasia, and wants to restrict IVF to married couples.

Running in: the Senate, as well as nine lower house seats, in WA only.

The last few years, Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) have sent out cards that you submit to the the folks at the polling booths. What the fuck has happened to them this year. Anyone get them sent out to them?

Yep, didn't get one here, but they did send a how to vote form. I pre polled last night and no one seemed to have the cards. It was a good system as you could just hand it to the poll people, rather than having to spell out your name, etc.
