Lol...in me journal asking for advice to try make me feel better about my average efforts I see. Too humble mate. Everything I see on your end has been excellent.

Should start calling you the hype beast with a strain list like that too haha. Make sure you are wearing a flat brimmed hat at an odd angle when you list the next lot of fyre.

I’m a fucken rookie compared to majority of the peeps on here including yourself. Have a handful of grows under my belt but still feel like I’m still finding my feet. Still unsure on the best growing style for my setup. Your average efforts piss on my best efforts! That’s just facts mate.

Still in the honeymoon phase of growing so just keen to try as many breeders/strains as possible. I’ll admit I do get caught up in all the hype but from what I’ve managed to grow so far and limited experience, can’t beat the old school genetics from CSI. Had to google what a flat brimmed hat is lol Only thing on fire around here is my wallet with all the growing gear I keep adding😂

Will be interesting to see what otherworldly shit you'll put out once you got a bit of time under your belt for sure.

Been watching a few umami grows on home grow tv lately (hence the off the cuff flat brim hat/fyre reference lol) so it's nice timing. Will follow on for sure.

Makes total sense now lol
Liked their older content better before they moved their op to the new location. Be nice to have all that space though.

Been extremely slack with updates so thought I was due for one. Main flower tent is in week 9, favourite smelling grow so far to date. Probably gonna take them close to 70 days.

The smaller tent in week 6, pretty happy with how things are going considering it’s my first run in this tent. Probably need to choose strains that don’t stretch as much, had to supercrop a couple of branches, one branch grew back into the light and has some light bleaching but overall pretty happy considering 4 different strains in a 70x70 tent. Have had to give them heavy defols to keep humidity down.

Cheers Goonie. I have a mars hydro fc-4800 and viparspectra xs 1500 pro in smaller tent which was meant to be for veg but gave it a flower run this run. It’s surprisingly doing a decent job. The ac infinity evos were not released yet when I bought the mars hydro led. Was absolutely shitting myself at the beginning reading all the online reviews about mars hydro quality and lights catching fire but they have been pretty decent. Looking to upgrade down the line to bigger tents and lights.

Nothing wrong with mine either, the melting connector issue definitely doesn't seem to be a thing these days, I was surprised at the beefy cables mine came with too.

When I first set my tent up i ducked out of the room to get a drink and one of the lights fell from the top of the tent smashed into the table, honestly thought some of the bars wouldn't even turn on after, weighing like 15kg. But sure enough it was all good.

I figured it was best to spend more on the 1000w and drive them way lower (think Indy or another member does the same?)
60-70% is plenty of light, less heat, better efficiency and the diodes will last way longer than say a 640-700w blasting full ball at 100%

No problems with the connector for me either.
I won an auction on eBay about a year ago for a viparspectra ks3000 to use for back up just in case the mars hydro shat itself ( from memory got if for around $170 after discount code) was too good price to pass up. Built very similar to the mars hydro and does a decent job. Using it for veg atm, would of loved to put it in the smaller tent but it’s to big unfortunately.

Had the same thinking as you. The fc-4800 is recommended for a 4x4 but I got it for my 3x3 so wouldn’t have to run it at 100% to prolong the life. It’s also nice to have wall to wall coverage in the tent.

How big do you think you'll end up going when you upgrade down the track? Looking forward to seeing it in action 👍🏻

I probably would go for the 10x5 or 10x10 tent if I had the room but probably more wishful thinking. Maybe when I move locations.
Be nice just to have extra room to spread the plants out and even work inside it.
Realistically a 5x5 tent as flower tent.
It can be challenging growing in an apartment and think I’m already pushing my luck with what I have atm.
Get very jealous seeing all the room you and everyone else has to work with on here.

Mate, looking the goods as usual. Yea I just sold a fc3000 that I had put aside for a 3x3 as the 4800 would have been a way better fit. The 3000 would have fit in a 70x70 with space to spare and the corners were only getting about 300 par at 12' in the 3x3. The 4800 would have been a way better go that space.

Ended up just buying a fc 4000 Evo for the 2x4 though as the 3x3 is a bit annoying footprint wise in me walk in. Hard to hide and only a ft² more in floor space. The 4000 Evo is defo a bit overdriven at full blast but puts out a near even spread at 75% and 11" in the 2x4. Could even run it at 50% for the autos.

Gotta say I've never had a single issue with any of the chinesium I've ran over 5 years indoors. Been running 250-300w lights in me smaller 90x50s as well. Do well at 50-60% in there without the increased risk of torching me house haha.

I’ve got a sp3000 300w in a 120x60. Excellent light for the price.Good yields right to the corners, and has good penetration. Can get around a pound if Im on point. 4 years,10 crops,no probs. Good bang for you bucks.

Me mate has an sp3000. Surprisingly good penetration from that light considering how far he runs from the canopy.

Fark I gotta pack me 2x4 more haha. I'm always around 8 zips out of it cause I'm a pussy and always get scared of packing me tents haha.

That’s reassuring to hear. I’m not as hesitant as I was in the beginning to get chinesium lights in the future. Will def keep options open when the time comes to upgrade.

How do you find growing in a 2x4 compared to a 3x3? I was on the fence on which one to get but went with the 3x3 cause it fitted the space I wanted to put it better.

It amazes me how your house mates don’t know you grow. Stealth growing at its finest! How do you trim without them getting a whiff of it.
