Again! Your AI friend started a sentence with "Because" (which is a written-word no-no) & also, it describes using a calculator to do "math" (yet another US-based idiosincracy), rather than "maths" (short for mathematics).I read the articles, mate. Then, I use my AI friend—yeah, as you put it—to present what I want to say. Because, you know, communicating isn’t just about throwing words out there; it's about getting my ideas across as effectively as possible. And if I have a tool that helps me refine my thoughts and put them into words that flow better, why not use it?
You can call it lazy, but it's the same as using a calculator for math instead of doing everything by hand. It’s not about avoiding effort; it’s about optimizing the process and focusing my energy where it counts. I still have to do the thinking; the AI just helps me present it better. Just like a writer might use a thesaurus or an editor to improve their work. It’s about using the best tools available to get the job done.
And there it is another outlandish remark completely out if left field. Would I use GPT in a job interview...
Well, I wouldn’t use it in an interview, just like I don’t have it in my ear for regular conversations. It’s not about replacing genuine interaction—it’s about refining and presenting thoughts more clearly when needed. If we’re going to write or speak in a public forum, why not make sure the message is as effective as possible?
It’s the same as any tool used to enhance communication. If you want to call that lazy, go ahead, but we’ve always used tools to improve the way we express ourselves. Don’t see why this one’s any different.
Just write for yourself & leave the bot out of it.
