View attachment 60093I got a quote through Hortibloom for a very similar possibly same light. Price for 4 units with power cables, link cables and dimmers delivered from China was a bit over $700 USD and I would have had to pay import duties on top of that which would have made the price per unit still around that $300 mark from my calculations. I like the adjustable stands on these units which not many offer. Spectrum also looks good with 5 years warranty, although warranties can be a hassle in some cases when buying direct from China. Where can I find this model and do you have an idea on pricing? I’m planning on adding a couple more under lights in down the track and my mate is in the market for six at this time so I’m interested in these if price is reasonable.

@Slash These will be available from me and we honor the manufacturer's warranty. We are establishing a relationship with them, but one of our VIP customers has had previous dealings with them.

I'll be getting a bunch in during May, as well the 4 channel lights

Thanks GG, that sounds pretty cool. I prefer to buy within Aus for warranty and and privacy reasons where possible. Warranty terms are impressive.
Do you know the pricing at this point? I am assuming that link cables and dimmers will be added extras? The four channel light sounds interesting as well. I’m doing some experiments with light recipes currently which requires 3+ channels. Do you have this model posted somewhere or do you have a link to it so I can have a look?

Added accessories but can always do a deal if buying in batches. RRP is always elastic but I could definitely do 4 undercanopies @ $250ea / $1000 total for you.

Thats the main light. I have already been bringing these in for customers.

Cheers GG, that sounds pretty reasonable. Didn’t realise you had your own website. May be able to send some business your way👍

Kill a mite has some nasty chemicals in it.
I have used a hydrogen peroxide drench before and it worked well. Not for use with living soils as other members have mentioned before.
Also yellow sticky traps will capture most adults and stop the breeding cycle.

Yeah I seen the yellow sticky traps! I don't want to change the taste of the weed will try them. I'm slowly getting on top of it not many there now, the bug zapper and apple cider trick is working.

Dipel - the stuff that kills catepillars works because it kills the "grub" ie the larvae. It works on multiple species including fungus gnat larvae. Its bacterial so its safe and all you need to do is wet the growing media.

Wont kill adults but will stop the cycle

One day I'd like to know why every medium I use ends up full of hypoaspis within 2-3 weeks. Gnat larvae is usually kept under control by the hoards of hypoaspis. I'll water and watch thousands make their way to the rim of the pot.

For the first year or two of growing indoors I had issues with gnats big time, and something changed about 1.5 years ago. Now there's just an immediate propagation of hypoaspis once gnats become and issue, and then they'll just maintain a few stray fliers as the larvae get eaten. If I nuke the medium it'll usually take the hypoaspis out too and the infestation comes back worse. It's more beneficial to just roll with it a d let the natural predators do the work.

What would be a reason for a self propagating hypoaspis network, and why don't I see it anywhere else? Eg all me mates use my home brew potting mixes most of the time and they never get any hypoaspis.

Definitely odd cause I'm in a closet, in a closet, upstairs in an urban environment yet it's a no fail inoculation every time.

Dipel is BTK - Bacillus Thuringiensis Kurstaki. Ive tried it and it doesn't work for killing gnat larvae.

Ive also tried BTI Bacillus Thuringiensis Israelensis and while everyone else has success killing them, i on the other hand don't even after watering it into the coco every day for a week.

Dipel might be effective for caterpillars so I'll continue to use it for outdoors, but I'll never waste my time and money on bti again.

Ive still got 22 donuts of bti left, if anyone wants to see how useless the shit is i'll happily send some

I tried both the dunks and bits, complete waste of money.

I remember someone online recommended sprinkling the bits (which i think is just corn husk dipped in bti) over the top of the pots and water in for a slow release kind of fix, i remember a few days later scraping up some of them and just seeing all the wrigglers all chowing down on the bits loving life 🤣. Not a single dead gnat anywhere.

Even when mixed in water it didn't do anything.

I’ve found Tanlin to be very effective in controlling gnat larvae, it’s non systemic and has no poisoness chems. If you have a big infestation it can take a week or so to get them under control. It doesn’t seem to control the adult flies but a combination with yellow sticky traps will generally do the trick to get rid of the gnats. I use the sticky traps in my pots always and run Tanlin at a maintenance dose to make sure I don’t ever get a problem.
