Yeah it's pretty bad giving it up.
When I gave up I quit ciggies and painkillers also and it was a nightmare.

Insomnia, really strange vivid nightmares when I did fall asleep. Waking up in pools of sweat.. felt like time was going so fast through the night, like 8 hours of sleep felt like a 30 minute nightmare

I ended up having to get valium to level myself out at night because at times it felt like my heart was going to explode from my chest.

Drank lots of green tea with added Hawthorn Berries to keep blood pressure down. It took me a few months to adjust after giving up.

Good on you for kicking the meth. it's hard to give things up when the people around you keep trying to drag you down to their level. Good thing you cut them off. When I was a youngin, not that long ago really, ice turned up and a lot of friends/people I used to smoke weed with all got hooked on it eventually. Sad sad tale.
To this day most of them are in and out of jail for burgs and some for stabbing people or bashing people. One thing I can say with the court system is if they've got a lengthy record of convictions the judge doesn't mess around. Bail Refused frequently, lengthy jail sentences.
Kind of sad because we all started from the same conditions, same area, some same school. All of us within a few years. 2011 was when it got real bad then again when the price of meth got cut in half or more.

Good thing is a few came out the other side and now are fairly productive members of society, a few not the same. Some that I was talking about earlier in this post are still going at it hard.

Miss them people at least miss who they were. 1 or 2 are still mad they've managed to just be weekend warriors or chippers and weed is their first addiction but the rest its a shame. Just completely consumes someone's life. Its an entire lifestyle.

Yeah, I lost a few good friends to heroin OD's in the late 80's around the St Kilda scene in Melbourne. A couple also fucked up on speed back then, more so mentally as they didn't dies then but both died early in their 50's from heart attacks. Had a few friends who left the planet a bit on the early side due to a booze lifestyle. Also harry, I may have a trumpet for you if you're interested. It's a Jupiter pocket trumpet - well made 'intermediate' type instrument in v.good condition. Looks like this ..... Don Cherry played a pocket trumpet so they must be cool ?

Very disturbing is this ecological event. People often only view heat waves in the perspective of 40+. The one’s to watch are when 20 is 15 above normal. It’s a cold ocean from my memory.

intersting and interested. in the trumpet that is. i’m making music finally nowadays, could definitely for into my style.

i knew some people into speed but not close friends ( i mean i had it some times back then but not even once a year).
booze was my vice. loved coke but never could afford it so never had a problem.

wish i stuck to weed. loved it as a teenager but soon as i moved to the city and had to pay for it i switched to alcohol. which also helped my social anxiety i didn’t know i had.

anyways. onwards and upwards.
