And now for something completely different (to Trump's erroneous declaration during his deranged Time Magazine rant), it's apparent/obvious that his approval rating for the first 100 days in office is the worst of any POTUS in 70 years.

The second-worst performer of all-time on this metric was......? You guessed-it! Donald Trump during his first term in office!

It's obvious that the only person who thinks he's doing a good job is Him (but then again, he always was his own greatest trumpet-blower, whether the facts say differently or not). You should never let the facts stand in the way of a good media-opportunity.

Anything else is "Fake News", right???

I saw a brief media clip from Grandpa Rapist last night. He insists the latest polls are ALL a fake conspiracy- including the FOX News poll results. He claims his real approval rating is actually at an all time high of 92%. Despite the fact he only won just over 50% of the vote in Nov 24.
All of the polls now have him between 34% to 41% overall approval rating, with MUCH lower results on tariffs/economy and Ukraine/Russia, with both issues hovering around/under 20%.

Bring on the mid terms. Grandpa is going to be crucified by Congress at that stage.

No evidence the 2024 election was rigged.

There was overwhelming voter suppression, which is legal, however voters are aware and fully prepared this time around.

There was only a 2%-3% overall margin between parties then. It's closer to 40/60 now, so essentially it will be a run away result for most swinging seats.

You'll notice that I did say "IF" he was capable...... & yes, there was inference in my comment that he was capable of it & that the election was rigged. He even eluded to his capacity to do so during his election campaign (I just can't find the footage right now).

Of COURSE there would be no evidence of it happening, or else the matter would be before a court right now.

Even if there's a 40/60 split now, it won't oust Trump from office for another 2 years (unless something else happens..... ). All it will do is put the brakes on him until he's gone. He will effectively become a paper tiger, which is just what the world needs from the POTUS.

The world will still have to endure this dickhead for a further 2 years.

Six months ago local polls had Albo at little to no chance, but thanks to Trump wrecking the economy, looks like Albo will be a runaway result in Aus elections.

The MAGA brand is now universally toxic, and will gradually die a miserable death just like the QAnon tin foil hat movement.

Don't agree totally with this. Dutton has run a shambles of a campaign and Albo has been steady.
Trump factor has certainly had an effect though - not as much as in Canada due to Trumps antics
vs Canada far worse than his influence here. Dutton hopping onto some Trumpisms was a stupid own
goal as well because as you say the Trump "brand" is viewed as toxic my most of the rest of the world

I’d disagree unfortunately. He’s still popular with the most dangerous human specimens on earth, that’s a lot, and in some age and sex classes, more than half.
It’s beyond the individual, there are worse individuals riding on his popularity waiting their chance.

Dutton was cooked when he took over the leadership after the last election. I think his final nail in the coffin was yesterday when he took a shit on renters. Totally agree. No time to be smug. Get out of your bubble and there are Trumpers everywhere. And they are a result of a dsyfunctional (this I can agree with Trumpers on) and unequal system. The systems in place have to change. Big Gary Stevenson fan here.
