We got quoted around 8 for a 9kw. Running my pool and hydro bring the bill up from around 600 to 1200 and over 1500 when we have the aircon blasting in summer. So I figure if I can get the solar to take care of the hydro and pool it will pay for itself in about 4 years. Not to mention i could make a nice controlled room out of insulated panels with C02 like i used to have in Sydney before power went through the roof, and massively increase yield

I used to run CO2 in the tent in the shed, but inside now but not safe, I still have the CO2 bottle and release valve and stuff. Well beer CO2 it's cheap refill

It’s worth the money, just pay your bill upfront really. My 6.6 paid for it self in 4 years, aiming for batteries, so I can go off grid.
Biggest issue is whether installer is going to be around in 5-10-25 years for warranty claims.

I want batteries when I do mine planing end of next year also, the power bills are crazy at the moment just running the house like $12 a day!

Yeah that's the thing I thought about. All these new companies popping up half of them have to fail when the demand drops off

Thats been an ongoing issue with solar for a long time. Whilst i paid a premium when i got my first system, it was through Origin and they have replaced inverters and fixed any issue with the system since i got it. not long now till that 50c tariff finishes, which is when I intend to update the system.
