Yes, I find it better than hash. The above squishes were from dried flower.Reckon it would be better than hash . more refined hmmm need to get into this.
What press are you using mate?Yes, I find it better than hash. The above squishes were from dried flower.
I did press some bubble hash. Mixed quality 70-160u.
10gm in, 5 gm out. The result reminds me of oil. Very solid when cold, super sticky and hard to work with when warm. No special taste in the dab rig.

Nice mate!@Dotts
I ended up using Armada baking paper from Woolworths. Seemd to do the trick.
ok, here are some results. Initially was alot of hit and miss, but am now getting better results.
First observation is that indoors yields better than outdoors. Same clones indoors and outdoors.
Outdoors gave about .3g per 5 gms whilst indoor gave .9g gms per 5 gms.
Second observation is that I love this rosin. Great terps and even stronger high. The terps you smell of the buds is the same taste/smell through the dab rig.
Third observation is that this shit is so sticky and really hard to work with. Need ISO to clean up.

It took quite a few attempts and fuckups to get a decent result.Nice mate!
19% return from flower
And 50% return from bubble
Is pretty good in my books,
Yeah, i always put 4x post pressed in for one last almighty press! lol.. comes out real dark..taste good tho...It took quite a few attempts and fuckups to get a decent result.
Pressed last night at 85C as against 120C and got better product. Lighter colored and looser rosin.
I also repressed 4 x bottle tek bags and got another 1gm. Bit darker in color and strange flavours as each puck was a different strain.
POTG by @Old fox pressed really well.
Found this table. There is a sweet spot for pressure. So my purchase will include a pressure gauge which makes the dab press 2-3 times more expensive for a branded unit.I second Dotts advice to buy a press with a pressure gauge. I don't have one and regret it. Future readers and shoppers take note!
Ok that settles it. 650 psi for everything. But...Found this table. There is a sweet spot for pressure. So my purchase will include a pressure gauge which makes the dab press 2-3 times more expensive for a branded unit.

Thanks for this advice. we just cancelled a potential purchase of presses and are looking at a new model instead.I second Dotts advice to buy a press with a pressure gauge. I don't have one and regret it. Future readers and shoppers take note!
This is why I love this community. Just saved $$ and time for both us and our customers, all by talking to the end user. Half our products are just us trying to solve grow problems.I thought all presses had a gauge ... until mine arrived and I realized my mistake. It was too late at that point.
I'd say the gauge probably helps in two ways. First, repeatability. Once you find a good combination of time+pressure+temperature, you can keep making whatever it is you like. If you're supplying other people with rosin, consistency is probably important.
My second reason is probably applicable to some people more than others. I'd never seen/touched/vaped rosin when I bought my press. A leap of faith; my faith in cannabis one might say. I was hoping to follow knowledgeable rosin-makers recipes until I had some first-hand experience. I've still never vaped anyone else's, so my rosin is both the best and worst ever! Might be Michelin 3-star or Maccas, but it sure gets me high ...
