Here's a pic that puts into perspective how well the Terra Pro medium holds water. The pot on the right is recycled CTP. The pot on the left has the top 1/2 filled with some Scott's performance naturals/perlite due to running out. Both were watered this morning at 5am. It'll be hydrophobic by 5pm lol.

Hahahaha .... I'm glad I'm not the only cheapskate (OK dircted at me, not you , pensioner mentality ) Last 2 grows have been a mix of recycled CTP with added worm castings and coco and perlite and a touch of compost and plants loved it. Only needing to water every 2nd day. Its expensive shit but it works for me and I got 4 bags for $120 during a buy one get one free sale so I'm making it last But yeah it holds water really well

Oh I'm definitely a cheapskate. I'm the ultimate stinge when it comes to gear and setup but then pay out the ass for bottled nutrients and random additives to go with it. I'm a contradictory cheapskate lol.

Good to hear your recycled CTP setup worked. I was hesitant to recycle as I usually like to (needlessly) spoil my plants but the amount of medium I was throwing away just seemed super wasteful at the end of they Day.
