There's a few tools you'll need to install a split though that's the only bad thing,
You need good quality copper pipe which you can either buy pre flared with insulation, or you can buy the flaring tools and nuts to do it yourself.

Then you need a vacuum pump and some gauges to pump it down to see if it holds pressure before releasing the refrigerant into the unit.

A pipe bender helps if you need to bend 90Ā° angles etc
And some electrical cable rated for like 15 amps should be good.
Where I am they charge ridiculous amounts to install, I'll probably pay someone to go over the big one though.
