Nice, wonder if it will cool the room down much. Did a bit of research on them and found they are good for dry environments but are shithouse in humid places.
I've got a 3.5kw mini split to replace my dehuey and cool my room, just gotta install it 🤣

Mate, I can't even get either of my AC units to take anything off the temps. Ones 9000btu, the other 11000btu.

If I'm lucky I might drop 1-2c but if it's already over 30c it might hold the temp or even creep up slowly.

Shit does my head in. The air goes from cold to room temp within three feet from the output so I've just given up trying to control temps. If I run both the humidity plummets, but I struggle to get the room under 30c still. It's odd.

Yep . They don't do shit. The units just can't exhaust properly and they just heat up over time haha. Those exhaust hoses get hotter and hotter over time until you can't touch em.

You'd think 20000btu over two units would work but it's a shitshow of noise and heat.

We ran one for 4 years and ended up wrapping all the exhaust hose in this-$9 currently from Big W Size: 172cm x 61cm Thickness:12mm- its NBR foam which is reasonably good insulation and some scotch duct tape $6 -15m to wrap around the foam from Coles or Woollworths.
It made a fair improvement considering the cost👍🏼

Yep those ones are shit but better than nothing. Ive read that dual hose portable ac's are the go, they work better but for some strange reason they are illegal in Aus.

There's no way I was paying that much for one of those 🤣

I'll have to look into it. The way they designed the window vent is trash too. Initially there was 8" round ducting that squeezed through a narrow rectangular hole.

It's a bit better now that I've made a cutout the same size as the hose but they'll still saturate with heat pretty quickly.

You can feel the compressor getting super hot after running for halfer and the plastic casing will warp.

Righto those LED's pull 60w each, you need atleast 480w upto 640w for a 4×4.

I guess you can get away with running the hps alongside them but I'd highly recommend going for a good bar light later down the track, that will give your tent better coverage, those little lights are a little too underpowered, but will be good for vegging and raising seedlings in a 2×4 veg space.

Something like this would be the bare minimum https://marshydroau.com/products/fc-e4800-led/

Or this 650w bar light, would have basically 100% coverage, and you'd be able to grow a dense canopy of donkeys. https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/detail_1601011641299.html?channel=minisite_a2706.wshop_pl.113.i18&otherparams=https://m.alibaba.com/product/1601011641299/No-Tax-To-EU-KingBrite-P55.html&scenery_id=2&tracelog=a2706.wshop_pl.113.i18&spm=a2706.wshop_pl.113.i18&wx_navbar_transparent=true

Ideally you want between 30w-40w per square foot of space.

So a 480w fixture would equal 30w per square foot.
A 640w fixture would equal 40w per square foot.
👍🏻

You can get away with being cheap on the tent, fans / ventilation system but you can't cheap out on lights, it's the most important piece of equipment, and I'm not even sure that those LED's will have much penetration alongside the hps, at the end of the day you gotta do what you gotta do I suppose, but a good bar light will make a night and day difference 👍🏻

This one is a more budget friendly light, same lm301b diodes your light has. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1766922...gs3heohruu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Bridgelux diodes are pretty bulletproof too. Most of the plug and play brands have cheaper Bridgelux versions and the more expensive Samsung lm301h Evo.

Lm301b's are old, less efficient etc but still decent for growing https://invisiblesunled.co.uk/blogs...tDi99MT1MnCTD1g22ZlFQ3HrukqDya_9LCArN4f1udF1R

Hope this helps a little if you plan on upgrading later on
