When i think back 2 some of the places and time of day we used 2 paddle out 2, i can;t believe still here 2 talk about it
Never gave a second thought 2 paddle out 2 shark breeding grounds off Gerroa bomby at 6 pm or surfing in places where they feed great whites 4 cage divers coupla k's away
Golf course reef at Ulladulla 1 am on full moon cause the pubs shut
Seriously just asking 2 be attacked and not giving second thought. Don't know if dumbness or 2 into the froth
Mind u 30 yrs ago there was no attacks publicised or beach closures of today
In 20 yrs of surfing, never once seen a shark or got bumped in the dark...[there was that time an orca jumped about 30 ft from me]
Worst thing i experienced was localism and no one picking up when hitch-hiking with a surfboard

Nothing special or brave about me, that's how we all felt
We all knew the risk was there, but were never exposed 2 media avalanche of teeth and terror
Jaws wasn't made, [or was it], ben crop and vic hislop were closest things
And yet these days won't get me past the knee caps at beaches and every shadow and piece of weed is a lurking bull shark, feel like an idiot until a new report comes on tv about some poor buggar losing his leg
Anyway we the ones entering sharks world so good or bad, the shit is real
