So he got caught up in a wire trace or leader as the fish made its last run? That would be horrible knowing your last moments would be getting towed around by some big fish. When ya drown apparently it's pretty drawn out, body becomes paralyzed but your eyes still see what's going on or some shit??

I had a sizable one brush the rear left hand side of a surf ski once in the Coomera River. It didn't help that i dropped a trip 20 minutes earlier. But I still swear to this day it was legit. Just caught sight of it's rear as it brushed the side. Even felt a bit abrasive as it glanced it.

Bloody Bull Sharks. Worst one I heard, was when a young teenage girl some years back was attacked at Amity Point (North Stradbroke Island). Witnesses reported it was if half a dozen Bull Sharks attacked her as a pack. Apparently there was nothing anyone could do as it was over just as quick as it began.

I broke my back in the late 90s getting dragged off the back of a long line Tuna boat by a hook in my boot. Held on to the back of the boat, dragging 5klms of line while I was cut free. Wasn't letting go, to get dragged 20m under and drown!

Anyone remember this?
Saw it when I was in primary @ local shopping centre.
Vic Hislop dragged it around Oz in a truck for years.
I think it ended up rotting in a paddock.
The liquid probably formaldehyde was quite cloudy and murky even in the early days.
Constantly moving it around wouldn't have helped. Screenshot_20250225_075215.jpg

Yeah, Vic had it parked at Townsville's Kmart Shopping Centrefor a few weeks during the peak of Summer in the late 70's/early 80's. Back then i even thought it was a bit sketchy being up there at that time of year. It's good to eventually see what i missed out on..
