Probably have more luck at Commercial Cleaning Supply Stores. I've got the 100% ISO from a local one before. Got a bit of a funny look. Just made up a bullshit excuse and told them, don't shoot the messenger, Brother wanted it to clean down his home brew shit.Went to Supercheap, Autobarn and a local paint shop the other day and all of them looked at me like I was a terrorist when I asked if they had ISO, and all of them reckoned they have never stocked it and haven't heard of it lol.
Kinda strange. Swear I slipped into an alternate reality.

Give those guys a call it linkt they do bulk to, show him the goldy price and he prob match it, there at Capalaba if that's closerThanks all, I’ll look harder. My basic requirement is pick up, so as far as Southside Brisbane. 20L would be a good size, and the price too. I’ve been procrastinating about setting up a still and producing ethanol but it’s another tedious and pricy distraction.
EDIT. Found it for $110/20L in the Goldy. No more “miser” restrictions![]()
Cheers but I went for the closer option of Burleigh. Great savings, from $32/L to $5.50/L.Give those guys a call it linkt they do bulk to, show him the goldy price and he prob match it, there at Capalaba if that's closer
That was my initial plan and was baulking at the cost and skills acquisition required. Still may without urgency, could be useful in the apocalypse?I use my home brew white spirit
Can't argue with thatCheers but I went for the closer option of Burleigh. Great savings, from $32/L to $5.50/L.
Reminder to self, be more diligent![]()
I search Weekly for a cheap still, the old bloke i get my 95% off for tinctures is getting on and I'm trying to get self sufficient so I don't have to go back to 170 a litre from dynahemp. He gives it to me for 130 for 2 ltrThat was my initial plan and was baulking at the cost and skills acquisition required. Still may without urgency, could be useful in the apocalypse?
Yeah, I think long term 95% ethanol would nice to produce. How much green are you putting in one litre? What’s Weekly? Or do you search weekly? Can't argue with that

It costs me about $50 4 litres.Yeah, I think long term 95% ethanol would nice to produce. How much green are you putting in one litre? What’s Weekly? Or do you search weekly?![]()
Yeah search weekly, I use the cheap iso first and make oil then put about 10-15 Grams of oil into a litre of tincture, then I just pour the tincture over my gummies let them dry over night and put them in a bag with some castor sugar to coat them so they don't stick together, 1ltr of tincture will make about 20 kg of gummiesYeah, I think long term 95% ethanol would nice to produce. You have the best of both worlds use the heads for cleaning and the other for tinctureYeah search weekly, I use the cheap iso first and make oil then put about 10-15 Grams of oil into a litre of tincture, then I just pour the tincture over my gummies let them dry over night and put them in a bag with some castor sugar to coat them so they don't stick together, 1ltr of tincture will make about 20 kg of gummies
Yeah I'd need way to much ethanol to soak all the sugar leaves to make tincture so it's cheaper to strip it with the iso, The best things about using comercial gummies is 1 the taste 2 they don't melt if you leave em in the car etc, and it's so quick and easy, you can make a kg as quick as you can open the bag sit them in the strainer and pour the jar over them, a kg of gummies at Coles and Kmart etc are 12 bucksYou have the best of both worlds use the heads for cleaning and the other for tincture
To clarify, you dilute the oil with ethanol? Then pour that over the gummies?Yeah I'd need way to much ethanol to soak all the sugar leaves to make tincture so it's cheaper to strip it with the iso, The best things about using comercial gummies is 1 the taste 2 they don't melt if you leave em in the car etc, and it's so quick and easy, you can make a kg as quick as you can open the bag sit them in the strainer and pour the jar over them, a kg of gummies at Coles and Kmart etc are 12 bucks![]()
Not sure I’d be comfortable with putting quite a few of those chems on my skin
