Tried Growing these out before without much luck. Thought it was me intially, but I've since learnt they can be quite finicky to get them up and out of the seedling stage.

Sourced locally, but I'm tossing up to whether I should get some from the original breeder in the States. But I'm borking at the $30 odd dollar postage.

I initially had trouble too mate but if you give them a soak for a few hours and do the paper towel method same as
with cannabis seed youll get them to pop a tap root then plant them straight away in a well draining seed raising mix or soil

forgot to mention Ive been having considerable more success with all seeds not damping off after I started using
some horsetail plant brewed into a weak tea and used to water the seedlings for the 1st week

My last trip to Bunnings I saw loads of different chilli varieties. Definitely saw those Carolina Reapers, ghosts and stuff.
I'd Rather support other smaller nurseries but unfortunately they've all been crushed by the big guys here..

Large spaces between your chillies, capsicums etc. Urban lots, 2 max. Cross pollination between chillies, chillies, capsicums and capsicums can alter the resulting fruit. I had a great red capsicum once, then a few months later was getting smaller brown capsicums with a mild chilli bite.
Very important if you’re a seed saver.

Been a veggie grower for just about all my life started with grandma at the age of 6 and both parents were horticulturalist as well I spend my time I have left here contemplating on digging my own grave so the family can plant a tree on me when it’s time . Putting in more fruit n nut trees for the future family to use .. for me it’s food security we need to worry about . We are all only 3 meals from starvation , I can’t imagine not growing your own fruit n veg . Hope you don’t mind the rant n the pic booming … stiff shit if you do hahaha.

Cheers, mate. I'll give that a go. I did get a good germination rate, and they rose out of the soil, but they just stopped growing from that point onwards until I eventually gave up on the some weeks later.

But yeah, I'll give our traditional method a go, and see if I get much change.

Yeah, likewise. I got these from a hippy chick in FNQ. Try and avoid the big mobs where I can these days.

Fuck them my mate had one growing in LA when he lived over there a couple years ago. I like chillies but all I did was eat a bit about the size of a pea and I thought I was going to die. He said he'd tried to cook with them a few times and just ruined any dish he put them in
