Ok cheers mate I'll take that approach. How do I know what my EC's supposed to be ?

I just use EC 1.0 for first week, then a "base" EC of 1.5 from then on through both veg and flower. It can increase a little with a couple of supplements I add at different stages of the grow, but peaks at an EC of ~1.7 when I ad a bloom booster at around week 5 of flower.

I pushed it further up to EC 2.0 on my first attempt at a coco/perlite grow and it did more harm than good :(. But these things are strain dependent and some can handle a lot more than others. This is just what I've found gave me good results across the variety of strains I've tried so far.

There are others here with far more experience growing in coco/perlite that can help you with a better answer though (y).

How often are you watering? How much water are you giving it ? How much nutrients are you adding each water? What is your ec going in? What is your ph going in ? What nutrients are you using? Do you drain to waste?
nah, hes already got all the advice he needs from the experts before you. Why would anyone need to know all that.

Seeing as zambi is busy playing cryptic genius ...I'll actually help.

thats not a system that will be easy to keep in check. you need to water at least once a day to maintain a near fully saturated medium other wise EC will skyrocket. Theres a very important reason to why pot size EC levels watering frequencies and having run off matters especially with coco run to waste setup.
It would take me a bit much to explain the whole concept but I recomend you go to cocoforcannabis.com and read the entire approach to growing in coco and why how and when to calculate your watering schedule. It will really help you understand the whole process much better.
☝️This is the good advice.

I’m in coco, I haven’t used an ec or ph meter for my entire grow to date. The reason being I know exactly what my ph of water is and when I mix my nutes it’s automatically within range. The amount of time this saves me is a huge bonus, healthy plants with less management and more beer drinking time win win.
