1st harvest. Am I ready?

I’ve got a few 8gm Bovedas on hand. I’ve just put them in the dark wardrobe open. No where in my house is under 27c and 66% right now.

Good news is, although they are more sparse and airy than I’d like, the effects are good, just need to cure the grassiness out.

Definitely learnt a few things, such as there is no substitute for an optimum environment - and better management of the living soil.

Once the weather cools off, we go again.

There seems to be a lot of focus on dense buds and bag appeal. Some of that stuff just doesn’t do what the old school bush bud did, ripped off your tits for five or six hours. Most of the stuff I smoked back then was pretty airy compared to what is getting bred for today. The acid test for me is always effect, and some of the shittiest looking weed was what hit the hardest.

Great attitude though, learn a bit every time and try and improve. Sounds to me like you had a big win there mate.., enjoy

Yes I agree, 100%. I’m a 25 year smoker and “student” of cannabis. I have so much “theory” and need more practice, only just moving into a phase of life where I can do as I pls, divorce I think they call it.

I meant airy due to the hairs, the dried pistils give it a grassy look, which is different to what I buy or am prescribed, more old school. It’s sticky AF tho so I just they tighten up or drop off with curing.

congrats on your harvest & as vin said great attitude , get back on the horse & go again =

being able to control your environment when drying is hard but important if you wanna keep as many terpenes as possible

if your harvest in the jar smells like grass i don't think a cure will rectify that , one thing you can do when you "think" the buds are dry enough is rather than jarring them use a large paper bag like a coles or woolies brown paper shopping bag & put your buds in there , it'll even out the moisture in all the buds like it would in the jar but doesn't trap that moisture in like a jar with a lid would , in the bag you can have a feel of the buds after a while , if they haven't evened out you keep them in the bag a bit longer or if your happy jar them up , might help to stop that grassy smell which usually comes from jarring to early

Thanks, I just had them in those bags for a bit but went back the jar, I’ll stick with the paper overnight and they should be good. I rolled one and it smoked fine, just fresh.

Still curing but only 70grm so bit disappointing, but with 47c spikes and average 33c + average temps I’m happy. Looking forward to next run, which will be the same too see if I can improve. Will run an apple fritter auto seed I have too. Reckon I can get 3 autos in there.

Yeah soil, was organic grow, I’m keen to see how far I can go with living soil at this stage.

Was off 2 actually 80gms 35 of 1 and 45 off another
