Under canopy lighting

Does anyone use under canopy lighting? It seems to big the big thing at the moment and increases in yield in a space is said to be 20-40% . I’m looking to get some suitable fixtures to add to my current project.

I have two friends that do it ,,lower buds are bigger with less popcorn ,
one started growing that way,,the other built a new larger space then started using under lighting ,,,so neither of them can actually say what extra percentage of weight they get .

I have a mate that has 2700k fluros inside perspex tubes he got from marketplace, he hangs them in there at the start and turns them on later when the plants grow past. Works very well, lower nugs are decent and seem to get dense , ive been looking for similar clear tubes for a while now, the buds can be right against them and not burn

I’m looking at some 120 watt led under canopy lights designed for the purpose with stands and interlinkable etc.I’m going to trial 4 of them and see if I can increase the yield in my space by a noticeable amount. They are about $300 a piece but I figure they should pay their way in the first grow.

Haha I use a bug zapper under canopy, the fucking fruit fly's here are crazy, sticking to my LSD plant the Lill fuckers!

They will be Fungas gnats man, they look like fruit flies, they love the damp medium, the larve is what's doing the damage, they lay little maggots in the there and if they run out of food because there's to many they start on your roots.cut a spud in half and lay it cut side down on the coco or whatever your using come back a few hours later lift it up and see how many is on there

Tanlin, No More Bugs and Eradicator I’ve found to be great for combating gnats. All are designed to add to your feed solution and kill larvae and flys. Eradicator is a good to use regularly as a preventative to stop the gnats from populating your medium

But it gets expensive if you have alot of plants, it's small pumice stones, my local produce joint sells it in 50L bags of 1-7 mm size. The pumice is sharp and tears them a new one when they try to lay eggs in it

$300.. AUD.. Each??!? Thats $2.50/Watt for a driverless led.. Are they Foshe or something?

If they're (gnats) really bad, i'll make up a batch of Mosquito Bits, hit them up. Then follow up using hydrogen peroxide a couple of times a week in the nutrient solution. Use Sticky Fruit Fly Traps to monitor their existence.

Great idea the pumice word work similar anyways? sharp like the other stuff! I had an old blow up bed I pulled the pump out, to pull the little pests out on deflate, It's getting a lot and also did the apple cider vinegar and dish liquid.

Yeah, they aren’t cheap. They are not a driverless led though. They do come with stands, dimmer and link lead. Brand is SuperTechLED. They are cheaper than other brands of purpose built under lighting available in Aus currently like the Hortivision. I figure if it’s going to increase yield by 20-40% in my area, it’s money well spent

I emailed my lighting manufacturer, their 120W just dropped, dimmer, daisychain, stands etc. I could do $250 without breaking a sweat and buying them basically to order.

I emailed my lighting manufacturer, their 120W just dropped, dimmer, daisychain, stands etc. I could do $250 without breaking a sweat and buying them basically to order.

Yeah, no doubt I could have found something a bit cheaper somewhere, but I’m happy with these units and don’t mind paying the price for good quality grow products as long as it’s within reason. I also prefer to support my local retailer and can count on them for good advice and reliable warranty.
