Sort of, open to other options under $650Think he's on a tight budget
Not much else to recommend, anything thats not made in china is going to be expensive unfortunately, even a diy light will set you back atleast $500-$700 when you start adding electrical cable, connectors, potentiometer, heatsinks and other bits to fasten together etcSort of, open to other options under $650
It's usually the connectors. The chinesium that i rebuilt the connector on one was getting red hot and melted a bit. so I opened it and the wires were just twisted together and one wire was loose as fuck in the melted connector and I imagine was why it was getting hot. I gather so it's a quick swap for different countries. I soldered the cunts together and they don't get hot at all nowThe fact they even need to put this in their advertising leads me to believe they could catch fire.

Yeah I think spiderfarmer did change to cheaper drivers, they no longer use inventronics/sosen..I bought the earlier version of the F4800 with an Invertronics driver. Ran it for a bit over 6 months no worries. Seemed a pretty decent light for the price at the time. Not sure what they are like now. I know Spider Farmer (same owners) have dropped a bit since I first bought in 2021.
If you want to order pre-fab stuff from China, have a look at Kingbright on Aliexpress/Alibaba. They've got lots of options and you can do full or part DIY from them also (ie source your own driver or buy components and build - though they are more limited than other supplies for pure DIY parts).
Top little unit for the price. I'd love to integrate a controller like this at some stage.Lighting controller is here.. Eagle eyed growmies might recognize it from a US brand name

You can search for DELPONTING LIGHTS on google, browse the products and put it in you options, affordable yes but very efficient.I’m curious to know what type of lighting options indoor growers are using currently and how they rate them.
There’s a large range of budget LEDs like Mars and Spider Farmer available on eBay which seem to be a popular choice with many home growers. There’s also the more expensive models like HLG, Lumatek etc. available on line and at hydro stores.
We also have many I’m sure still using HPS and CMH. How do you rate your lighting and the value you get from it?

Lumatek Zeus 1000w Pro Evo 3.1
Currently using a Spiderfarmer 1000w SE Full Spectrum 10 Bar Light (2022 model). Dialled in around 60-65% producing on average 1.2gpw.
You can search for DELPONTING LIGHTS on google, browse the products and put it in you options, affordable yes but very efficient.I've been using an HLG 550R for about 4yrs now. It's works great and I have no complaints. I rarely even use it at 100% in my 4x4 tent. However, I live in TAS and grow in an unheated storage space. In the cooler months I sometimes need to added a space heater. The LED creates heat, but not enough in the winter. On the other hand, an HPS with today's summer weather would require an AC, but the LED does not. Everyone's situation is a bit different....
