I've been researching autopots since them damn Mericans are constantly yapping on about how awesome they are.

I discovered a clusterfuck of different systems online and discovered Autopot USA has fuck all to do with Autopot Australia and they both sell autofeed systems but the products are different.

Nutrifield seems to have similar systems but appear a little outdated or perhaps not evolved like them mericans have done so with their autopot systems.

Then I made the mistake of buying air bases and airdomes for them only to discover they don't fit 🤦

Aquavalves aren't the same as smart valves although similar principle.

Has anyone else had some fun trying to wrap your head around these systems?

Check out aqua gardening. .They have a ton of autopot spares and supplies that should all work together.

I've had my autopot xl setups sitting around for years now as I'm a serial procrastinator.

Squire ran autopots and had some pretty epic results.

Im loving these things man I genuinely don't know why I didn't try these years ago!

They're so simple yet effective and im astonished at the rate of which plants (especially mid bloom) can drink when you let them dictate the rate of water they get.

And they're super compact compared to my outdated 8 pot recirculation system and I can see I'll easily fit 12 modules within my 5x9,, Winning!!

hey guys....what grow medium you use in those autopots? and are you not getting any salt build up in the medium?
You just take the pots out and runoff as normal if you are worried about salt buildups. Also handy when you want to add supplemental feed without adding it to the res.

Can run pretty much any medium you like. Coco/perlite, perlite and vermiculite, sand (squire runs sand), peat based potting mix. You name it. It's just like watering any other medium in a tray, it just auto tops up for you.

Any medium you are happy with watering from the bottom will work.

I had the same confusions looking for a system and ended up just getting Spider Farmer’s 4 pot system with the 50L res and float valve box. Works an absolute charm and has fed my two plants in flower for just over 2 weeks without a single finger lifted to re fill.

Rate these set ups immensely because I suck at watering consistently with busy life and growing in hot shed.

hmmmm, taking pots out when there are in full flower and in a scrog net might be a bit complicated....any other suggestions with the salt build up???

You'd just have to monitor you EC and feed plain pH'd water for a bit if the plant is burning up and you have no way of moving them or raising them enough to slide a tray underneath.

In an emergency you can just shut the valve off, flush the pot from the top and suck up the excess with a wet vac as it runs out but you've gotta run a fair amount through as most of the built up salts in an autopot will be higher up in the pot, not in the immediate lower root zone the plant usually feeds with meaning salts will flush down into the root zone before leaving the pot.
