I think the main issue here is why is he there in the first place. He is a career criminal with more than dozens of offences, being let go again and again and again. Drug abused, mental illness whatever you call it, he does not belong in the outside society. Should be locked away for the rest of his life. How many more second chances can a person get before some innocent person like that girl have to die? I must say at least he was sane enough to get out of the crime scene before he gets arrested.
I am seeing similar patterns in my area too where criminals are being let go again and again and repeating crimes again and again. Not really sure what’s going on honestly.

Yep I agree he should not of been on the streets and yep heaps of dangerous people on the streets of Australia currently that should be locked away.
Costs a lot of money to keep people off the streets and some people are beyond rehabilitation.
Fuck only need to look at the amount of women murdered by x partners on parole or AVOs in Australia every year.
