Simply because I don't think it's any of my business. Secondly, I'm not going to judge or hold it against the individual. To me, you are what you are. If anything, I'll judge a person by their character. But going by previous experiences Gays are usually better people than the majority of us.
But if coming out gives the individual some comfort and helps them feel like they'll be better accepted, or whatever. By all means. But yeah, someone's sexuality has no bearing on me. You're just another individual..
