I Guy's,

Looking at carbon filters and have a question. Which one have you found to be best, I've tried a few different brands, some have been ok still smell it a bit out side the venting, then others I've had are complete crap! did basically nothing..

What's everyone have to recommend? good flow maximum smell removal?

Recently been using 150x300mm Phresh filters which were good
Checking them out now, I always have trouble, I really want to get it right with smell outside this is why....

Last year the local crack head decided to go off his tit's threatened to kill him self. I didn't know until 12 police cars pulled up out the front of my house my plant were in full bud and stunk like fuck.

I fucking nearly had a heart attack no shit my blood pressure was so HIGH I near POPPED o_O. I was thinking shit I'm fucked, then I saw the rubber gloves come out. I was in such a panic I nearly FUCKING had a fit by this point  I could smell it out side so I was packing boy's!

I recon one of the cops could smell it! I could see his snout in the air sniffing 🐷

Trust me after the cops fucked off I wanted to go murder the "local crack head" for near killing me but my missis stopped me. I hope that crack head cunt drops dead soon. 😁(y)

Boy's this is a serious issue for me !! 😁

I use relatively cheap evergrow carbon filters or filteroo. I get about 2 years out of em, maybe a bit more running 24/7. Regularly have people in the room and over 3 years here no ones noticed any smell at all.

Can have two-three tents in me room going and not one of the seven housemates here have caught onto it. Even seasoned smokers haha.

Was using Can lite gt150 and GT300 and they have done terrible jobs from my experience. The cheaper evergrow filters are way more capable so far.

Up until this point I've used the generic no name eBay filters which have worked better than expected.

My 5×5 is running a 6 inch inline fan (Blauberg Turbo) which is connected to a 8 inch carbon filter using a duct reducer, bigger filters = less drag on the fan and should be more effective scrubbing the air.. it seems to have lasted longer than the usual 6 inch filter so far.

Got some refillable 6 inch AC filters I'll try out soon..

From memory I had some of the ever grow brand before a long time ago in a shed grow they did work well for the money. I'll go for the 6" with adjustable fan to control air flow. I hear the tent sides should be sucked in slightly? and not blown out wards, when the flow is right.

Is that correct?

The best I have used would be a toss up between mountain air and phresh. I've used generics off ebay which were alright and filteroo which did fuck all.

FWIW I've had to recently buy all new kit and went with a 250mm x 500mm phresh filter. I noticed that they sell inlet versions of phresh filters while shopping and on the box it said 3 months was the expected life if used for smells or 1 year if used as an inlet filter for pollen and whatnot whereas the one I got was rated for 2 years so keep an eye out for that if you go with phresh.

Yes, negative pressure in the tent means no smells should be escaping from the tent. I added some extra uprights to prevent the tent getting sucked in too much and loosing grow space. Also prevents the flowers from hitting the sides of the tent increasing mould risk
