Vacuum sealer for storage

Thinking of trying vacuum packing/cryovac for longer term storage this season. Other than not vacuuming too much and crushing the flowers any tips? Any machines recommended or to be avoided? I'm thinking a $150 domestic one should do the trick.

I have a Sunbeam which is at about that $150 range, it's good, has lasted longer than it's Kmart predecessor. However, when it does die I'll be going low level commercial in the $300 range for a double seal and a few other features. That's just me, do alot of of excess fruit/fish/bulk meat. If I were JUST doing weed, I'd stay on the cheapie side.

double seal
Way to go if you can afford it. (y)

Worked with a few commercial cryovac machines while i was in the meat industry. And if you've got one that has a temperature control on the seal function, you'd want to dial that in so you get a good even transparent seal across the entire bag. If it looks like the seam is blistering/bubbling up, turn it down to suit. Getting a good seal is paramount.

Thanks fellas, I'll try the sunbeam one.
Good call. One thing I'll say for the Sunbeam is that it doesn't overheat much. My experience with vacuum sealing is that it's usually the last part of a longish process sorting, cleaning, portioning, etc. It's a pain when the process is slowed down by overheating (which happened with my supercheap kmart machine).
