Unplanned Outage

A quick post about the outage TSE has experienced over the last few days.

The last database entry shows a post someone submitted that broke the database, I can't get much from it, but it turned multiple tables to mush.

There's a chance some data is missing, but it should only be metadata like post view counts.

If you notice something isn't working as expected, let me know under this thread and I'll investigate.

I've increased the database backup time to 3 hours now, so if something like this happens again, we'll just cut the loss and roll back.

“Latest Activity” was still functioning.

I've often wondered if it's any cheaper for @Billygoat to use lower-resolution pics, or if it even makes much of a difference both bandwidth-wise or storage-wise. Just another one of Benno's curiosities.

Same with Videos, too.

I'll sometimes upload a video I've found on Facebook because linking to something from Facebook is such a hassel if they don't have an account or aren't even signed in. Just easier for people to click play than fk around with it. Youtube I just link.

That is one of the biggest breakages so far. unfortunatley i didnt realise the server wasnt being backed up adequately..... annoying, but that shoudl now get resolved.

dunno if size is a problem, but currently occupying 300GB of server space, since updated another 100GB. could possibly limit image or video size, but geez i hate it when i try upload a pic on other sites and i get hit with that resize or whatever notice, i simply dont participate...

Lol that was not me. But I'll keep this in mind for future pranks. Maybe a byproduct of reusing some IDs on the db.

geez i hate it when i try upload a pic on other sites and i get hit with that resize or whatever notice, i simply dont participate...

Jeeze back in the days when my 180c laptop was flying with 4MB of RAM, spinning a 20MB hard drive, we was dreaming of uploading a phat photo from the floppy disc.
Nah I prefer small files.
Some peoples grow threads takes a few days before I see their pics, they eventually appear. My net isn’t slow either.
PS I do like zooming in on trichomes however?

For the techies out there, it appears there is some unicode in the post that didn't play ball. Or this could all be BS cause some of that data is corrupt and I have no idea what I'm talking about after a few Wednesday beers.

Here's one for ya's.. I'm thinking of down-sizing and doing something along the lines similar to @afghan bob has going on. Whereas i have a 2' x 4' tent/cabinet where i raise them in vegetative stage, and stick them outside to flower. Just wonder, what's a good full spectrum LED light for that size tent these days?

Hi mate, not sure if you wanted my personal opinion on this question or not but if it where me and I had that space and was doing indoor/outdoor I think I would personally use a SuperTechLED QS2 Veg model. First reason is from my experience, using a bluer veg style...
