Lazy soil recommendations

So I have this mate who likes to throw a few seeds in the yard and let them do their thing, no nutes or anything, it's hard to bloody watch, they should be 1/2lb plants but ends up with fuck all. I would like to set him up with something very low maintenance, I'm thinking of telling him to grab a couple of bags of the pre packaged soil from the local hydro shop, ideally something he can just water.

What does everyone use for low maintenance grows? Any recommendations?

Dr greenthumb looks good, a bit low on stock locally, any idea if the biodiesel branded stuff is good? They shop a nutrient line to go with it, which just makes me think they are not going to cut it on their own

This is roughly the mix I use. You can sub quality coco for the peat moss (y)

Looks good. Seems to be what the shop stuff is based on. I think I will put him on to a few bags of the dr greenthumbs stuff and if they want to put in the effort will go raw ingredients

If you're going with the Dr Greenthumbs option you can use the discount code serrated (20% off).

I've used the Dr GT turbo dirt and it is a decent mix. I personally think the Easy As Organics Living Soil looks to be a better mix and they also offer a 20% discount to TSE members using code JUSTWATERIT

Just depends which is more economic for you pick-up/postage wise (y)

Sounds good. To be honest it's not for me so I would rather buy a box than have to worry about all that, has to be better than nothing

For an easy grow I'd get some coco with or without added nutes and get some Green planet backcountry blend dry nutes, there's 1 for grow 1 for bloom and a bloom booster I've used them and I still do and I find them piss easy and they do a decent job..just spread them on top every 2-4 weeks and water and bobs Ur uncles..I should add I only grow outside so I don't know about using them under lights...
