Using the capillary feed method has worked for me . Cheep as chips and does not mess with your salts. The PH stayed stable . Keeping the nutrient up to the plants as they get bigger is a challenge. The 3 litre bottles I used needed to be changed morning and night.
The perfect method would be to use Autopots and connect to a res. They come with a float that allows the level to rise and fall. Hoocho did a tube on them.
The only negative is the weight of the pots . I used a 14 litre pot and it weighed 25 kg wet and would get heavier as the plant gets large .
Enjoy.
