GG4 Question flower times

With GG4 and flowering times, I wanted to know with the GG4 strain how long will it take to finish roughly? These were under 18/24h until the 28th December then flipped to 12/24h on the 28th, on Sacred Seeds website is says 9-10 weeks, is that from when it starts to flower or from when you put them in 12 hour mode?

This has always confused me, they are looking ok just trying to estimate how much longer, before I can smoke these bitches

It's pretty confusing but I had always thought when reading the seed description that the flower times started from the day you flipped them..

Some breeders like Mr Nice mention "6-8 weeks from the first onset of flowers", so I guess it's actually 8-10 weeks from flip with their strains when factoring in the 2 weeks it takes from flip to start showing small those small bud clusters.

keep in mind 'Gorilla Glue' is a polyhybrid, from memory its genetics consist of multiple strains, having a wide gene pool can result in many different phenotypes (phenotype = physical traits of a plant, example: tall plant or short plant, fat leaves or thin leaves, airy bud or dense bud, green flowers or purple flowers etc)

With GG#4, some plants might lean more towards indica and others might lean towards sativa; like my Blimburn gorilla glues.

So the flowering times will probably vary a bit between plants too, but from what I can recall they will generally be finished by week 10/11 from flip at the latest.

Gorilla Glue 4 was originally clone only in the US pre legalisation. It was extremely popular for many years and the name created legal issues. The gorilla Glue Company made the breeder change the name due to Copyright issues so it became GG4. There were never any seeds released from the breeder because it was an accidental pollination. It was pot luck. Heaps of seedbanks cashed in on the name after the 2 breeders died. So any seeds will be average copies at best. If I was looking for seed I would look at Tony Green's tortured beans who worked the GG4 clone for quite a few generations and came up with a GG4 RIL seed line. Fems and an auto.

Before Josey Wales died, dark horse had some agreement going on with Ethos to make a more stable line from seeds made from the clone. Ethos was supposed to give a cut from sold seeds back to dark horse so he'd be able to give back to Josey (they were mates apparently).

Anyway, ethos didn't follow through with the deal, took the seeds off the market and not long later relisted them under his own brand..

There would be lots of different brands / breeders claiming to have legitimate GG, and after all these years I guess it would be true.. but yeah doubt that 'sacred seeds' would be one of them.
Blimburn stole cuts of a lot of strains around 2009-2011, one being Cinderella 99 which some say is the closest thing to the real deal having the pineapple smell so I'm keen to see if mine have it

It's just my recollection from a video on YouTube by the dark horse breeder. The whole weed scene in America is pretty toxic if you look into some of the 'breeders'.

Dark Horse made the Bruce Banner strain so along with the rest of the chuckers thinks that the sun shines out of his asshole .

They are all mostly a bunch of dishonest crooks and criminals.
There's some Aussies who've had been ripped off from his seedbank too (has sent out a fake tracking number and the customers don't see their seeds according to the Reddit Ausseeds sub)..

Flowering times are kinda like the how long is a peice of string question, all sorts of factors will determine time, like environment etc, they look great . I've never grown any sacred seeds stuff but I'm gunna have to have a look their way now

Yeah I think you're right. Then like most US strains it was all the hype for a few months before something else replaced it.

I think the clone was pretty cheap compared to what people usually pay, few hundred dollars at the maximum. So the old bloke wasn't greedy like the rest of them.. then later died (cancer??)..

I remember reading somewhere that the 'Lemon Tree' clones were selling for $40000... ??? May be bullshit, but if it's true then wtf

Grew coupla GG4 fast flowering from MNSL and yeah they were fast, about 8 weeks from mem, one of them did grow man bits though
