Browsed a few seed banks & came across "fast version" .
What's the go with these
If they finish flowering quicker than normal, is it at expence of yield ?
Even Yantra have some listed

I was under the impression it’s a few weeks shorter mainly for sativa leaning flowering periods.
I grew a Yantra Blue Dream fast (Seedsman) and was most impressed and I like the vape. All plants planted in that cycle with all finished similar time but outdoors flowering time is different to indoors.

That’s the catalogue spiel. Faster finishing sativa.
I thought WOS had them but they have an “early”
Another thought it’s aimed at northern latitudes that can’t grow full term plants in time b4 the weather’s crap?

There photo period crossed with auto's

As Hudo mentioned, they are first gen photo/auto crosses. Will inherit the shorter flower without the auto genes.

Tbh I've tried a few "fast" versions and never really noticed them being any faster but that's probably just my limited sample size.

Depends on the technique used by the breeder. Some are photos crossed with autos. Others are faster finishing phenos of photoperiods, specifically selected by the breeder for earlier finishing.
