Yep I would ditch the blood and bone.My only comments would be if you are rural or in a full bush setting I would be careful of blood and bone. Every critter within 10km will be digging your plot up looking for goodies. Seen this the hard way. Suburbia shouldn’t matter much.
Dolomite and lime both take a long time to break down and become available. All good if you reammend your soil or plan on using a patch for a long period of time. Gypsum is pretty well available straight up and the sulphur in gypsum never goes astray.
Good point im sububia but have a 7 month old cattle dog that gets into everything, i watch that mr cannucks on you tube and like the look of his style, but only for outdoorMy only comments would be if you are rural or in a full bush setting I would be careful of blood and bone. whats the base soil you plan on using ?
ok cool , if you can find some castings to re amend the mix that would be beneficial , add about a third of the mix you have in castings = if you have 45ltr of mix add 15ltr of castings , if that amount is not possible then top dress a smaller amount when you pot up & water in , aim for minimal runoffIve got the living soil mix bagged up from the run i did a while back that i use outside,
Yes I've had blue heelers as a kid and my old man had a Red Heeler before me and us kids and he said they'd go nuts with blood and bone fertiliser. Not sure if they are actually eating it or the smell makes them think there is something thereGood point im sububia but have a 7 month old cattle dog that gets into everything, i watch that mr cannucks on you tube and like the look of his style, but only for outdoor
Ive got about 50L of castings we have a couple worm farms, ive also got some of this shit to make a bio tea fromok cool , if you can find some castings to re amend the mix that would be beneficial , add about a third of the mix you have in castings = if you have 45ltr of mix add 15ltr of castings , if that amount is not possible then top dress a smaller amount when you pot up & water in , aim for minimal runoff
the stuff vin suggests would be fine as re amendments or something similar , when you add them add some moisture as well while you mix them in , not talking drenched just get the soil to a nice dampness & would be good if the water you use had some aloe or soap nuts added for the saponins which is your wetting agent among other benefits , more so the aloe but the soap nuts do have a higher saponin content

home made castings are the best , whether you add to a soil mix , top dress a pot or make an extract tea = tea without brewing homemade castings are generally much better than any off the shelf brought stuffIve got about 50L of castings we have a couple worm farms, ive also got some of this shit to make a bio tea from
