G'day fellas happy lunar new year for those partaking.
It's going off where I am with amazing food stalls and we even have some international popstar here called Pop-K or K-Part or Pop-Tart,,, well anyway he's here apparently so yeh.. the Chinese are getting messy tonight haha Good on em I say.

So I just want to show you some pics and ask for your opinions on the preflower defoliation job just to make sure I'm not becoming radicalized and turning into a plant terrorist.

I guess stress is my main concern and if you had seen them before then you may agree that plant shock is a possibility but I unfortunately didn't take many before pics but they were wildly flourishing and badly needed some cleaning up.
I did this towards the end of week2 instead of my normal week3 tidy up because of high humidity levels with all the excess foliage.

Looking at them the day after and I'm wondering if perhaps I went a little too hard.

On a side note.. has anyone else discovered how well the highCFM gorilla kits work for trellis nets?
It's only taken me 2 years haha20230120_204324.jpg20230121_202515.jpg20230121_202520.jpg20230121_202528.jpg20230121_202534.jpg

Looks good mate. The bottom half is always crap under a scrog so best to lose it and concentrate all the energy up on the canopy. Im scrogging again next changeover (soon) I feel its by far the most efficient use of space indoors.

While I like the flexability of free plants to move around and rotate etc, Its impossible getting enough light lower down without too much up top. (without side lighting etc) Get too much larf on the lowers and not enough tops to make up for it. Its easy I suppose but I need to put in the work to get the better results.

Im gunna Concentrate on 900-1000 ppfd on the mid scrogged canopy like my first grow. Tipping again too.
Actually working on making some rotate-able single pot mounted scrogs today.

It was a very late decision to put the nets in and I regretted it straight away!

Wow what a bloody nightmare installing it over already substantially sized plants but I had to for support coz the Crescendos I have a big bitches and they end up flipping everywhere.

Thanks for your input mate it's put my mind at ease.

Never give up trying to exceed your expectations.
