Yeah floating rubbish follows the ocean currents and ends up in the same place. Where the currents meet a whirlpool forms (you can follow the ocean currents on radar images via google) with new plastic at the top and degraded plastic at the botttom. The smallest particle plastic degrades to is about the same size as plankton and is called a nurdle (spelling?). In the areas surrounding these ocean rubbish piles the nurdle plankton ratio is something like 10:1, thats 10 parts plastic to 1 part plankton the marine life are feeding on.

Last I looked (which was around a decade ago) the largest dump was the roughly the size of NSW!

Some useless info, got piles of it, lol.

I've had a resin printer for a hot minute now and you can get pretty good bio degradable resin, Aus owned too.
keen to print out one of those clip stand things, cheers for the link

I wouldn't call something that takes 80 to 100 years to break down environmentaly friendly. Suppose it's better than 10k years.
I never said environmentally friendly. most compostable 'plastics' take ages in unctrolled or low heat. if you have higher heat and moisture it is much more rapid. agreed thousands of years is ridiculous, and funnily enough scientist boffins have invented a rapidly decomposing plastic (days instead of years) LINK i personally minimise my plastic and rubbish as much as possible but its crazy how many things arent recyclable!

anyways, some cool weed related shit you can print on a 3d printer.

How long do wind tower blades, solar panels and lithium battery's take to break down @ DC
You should know you have solar.
Should put a few wind turbines at your place seems windy enough.
Although the poor cunts installing them would properly drown in garbage.šŸ˜‚

Lithium batteries are about 80% recyclable.

Yeah a wind tower would be great, have thought about it before

Not cost effective to recycle any of it ATM, except the steal and copper from wind towers,
not sure what they do with the 200 tons + concrete, leave it no doubt

Yeah lets destroy the environment while saving us from a problem that doesn't exist, not that we could fix it if it did

FFS a Tesla weighs more than me landcruiser, a Nissin leaf weighs 1500 kg's, more than a real car lol
more weight more mining, thought you stnuc hated mining ?

Met 2 Indonesian ex army officers through my work they were millionaires and were in the recycling business in Jakarta.
They were dodgey as fuck!
In many ways.
Point being they weren't forced at gun point to take our shit.
There game was paper and plastic recycling on a huge scale.
Among other things.
And the they couldn't get enough, huge boatloads.
Sounds like there activities are getting reined in these days.
Or at least policed or noticed more.āœŒ
